LRA Recruitment 2026:
The Directorate of Land Records & Surveys, Assam has invited fresh online applications for 579 Land Record Assistant (LRA) posts under the amalgamated establishments of District Commissioners, excluding Sixth Schedule areas. Eligible candidates can apply online from 21 September 2026 to 21 October 2026. Candidates can submit online applications through https://sebaonline.org.
This advertisement cancels the earlier recruitment notice for 552 posts dated 14 March 2026. Candidates who applied under the earlier notice must submit a fresh online application.

Eligibility Criteria:
| RCCC Qualification: | Candidates must have completed the six-month Recorders Certificate Class Course (RCCC) Training at the Assam Survey & Settlement Training Centre, Dakhingaon, Guwahati-40. They must have been declared proficient in both Survey and Settlement subjects through an official result issued by the Director of Land Records & Surveys etc., Assam, before the commencement of Government Notification No. LA&A/429557/158 dated 13 August 2026. |
| Computer Proficiency: | Candidates must be proficient in using computers and have a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute in English and 15 words per minute in Assamese or Bengali. |
| Age Limit: | Candidates must be between 21 and 40 years of age as on 1 January 2026. You can use the Age Calculator to check your age on 1 January 2026. |
| Age Relaxation: | Upper-age relaxation for reserved categories will be applicable as per Government OM No. ABP.6/2016/51 dated 2 September 2020. |
| Proof of Age: | Age will be calculated from the Class X or Class XII Admit Card, Pass Certificate or Mark Sheet issued by a recognised Central or State Board or Council, provided the date of birth is clearly mentioned. |
| Government Employees: | Candidates already serving under the Central or State Government must apply through the proper channel and produce a No Objection Certificate from the respective Head of Department during document verification. |
Selection Process:
Applications accepted under the eligibility criteria will be shortlisted for a competitive written examination. Candidates who secure the prescribed category-wise qualifying marks in the written examination and are shortlisted in the ratio decided by the Selection Board will be called for the Skill Test.
Written Examination: Paper I will be an objective-type examination of 80 marks with multiple-choice questions.

The final merit list will be prepared from the aggregate marks obtained in the Written Examination and Skill Test, subject to the candidate securing the minimum qualifying marks in both components and fulfilling all eligibility conditions during document verification. Selection will follow merit and the applicable category-wise reservation.
