Eligibility Criteria of Indian Air Force Recruitment:
Age Limit:
Flying Branch: Age of the candidates should be between 20 to 24 years as on 01 July 2027 i.e. born between 02 July 2003 and 01 July 2007 (both dates inclusive). Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 26 years i.e. born between 02 July 2001 and 01 July 2007 (both dates inclusive).
Ground Duty (Technical/ Non-Technical) Branches, GATE Entry: The age of the candidates should be between 20 to 26 years as on 01 July 2027 i.e. born between 02 July 2001 and 01 July 2007 (both dates inclusive).
Marital Status
Candidates must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course and marriage is not permitted during training. Candidates who marry during the period of training shall be terminated and shall be liable to refund all expenditure incurred on him/her by the Government.
Education Qualification:
(i) Flying Branch
Candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and
(aa) Graduation with a minimum of three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
OR
(ab) BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
OR
(ac) Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
(ii) Ground Duty (Technical) Branch
(aa) Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}: Candidates with a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology (India) or Aeronautical Society of India or Graduate membership examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers by actual studies with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in the following disciplines:-
(iii) Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches
(aa) Weapon Systems (WS) Branch: Candidates should have mandatorily passed with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and
(iv) GATE Score Entry
The candidates must have completed Bachelor of Engineering(BE)/ Bachelor of Technology (B Tech) degree from the disciplines specified by IAF authority and qualified in any of the 10 disciplines of GATE exam as given in the official notification are eligible for GATE Score Entry. Candidates can register with GATE score obtained within three years preceding the date of commencement of course.
Application Fee:
Online examination will be conducted for AFCAT entry at various centers. Candidates registering for AFCAT entry will have to pay an amount of Rs. 550/- + GST (non-refundable) as examination fee . However, candidates registering for NCC Special entry are not required to pay.
